I have a confession to make. I have an addiction to attending conferences and aboslutely love it! Throughout my PhD I attended 9 international meetings and 10 local meetings. I still remember my first international conference very clearly (you always remember your first) – I was really shy and didn’t know how to make the most of my time there. I made a few friends with PhD student but hardly talked to others. Fast forward 4 years, and now I’m chatting with everyone, asking questions, being part of committees, presenting talks, being part of panel discussions and even featured on a poster!

That’s why I’m putting this blog post together. I really want to share what I’ve learned over the years about making the most of your conference time.
